Dallas Tornados A-Frame Cotton Twill Ballcap

Dallas Tornados A-Frame Cotton Twill Ballcap

STRUCTURED A-FRAME SNAPBACK HONORING THE DALLAS TORNADOS

History: Before they played their first competitive match, the original Tornados roster went on a 49-game world tour through Spain, Morocco, Vietnam, and Central America. They arrived in Dallas exhausted, and went an abysmal 2-26-4 in their first NASL season. Owner Lamar Hunt kept writing checks anyway, and four years later the Tornado took the 1971 NASL championship. By 1973, the Tornados' Kyle Rote Jr. — son of the New York Giants wide receiver — had become the first American ever to lead the league in scoring.

This cotton twill ballcap was designed with a retro A-frame silhouette, giving it a structured crown, a 5-panel construction, a pre-shaped bill, and a classic snapback closure. The Americans logo was applied with an embroidered felt patch, honoring the Dallas Tornados, one of the 17 original NASL teams.
