History: Seattle entered the PCL in 1903, dropped out in 1907, and rejoined in 1919. Ā After experimenting with the names Clamdiggers, Siwashes, and Indians, the team was christened Rainiers after being purchased by brewery magnate Emil Sick in 1938. Sick also built Sicks Stadium ā at the time one of the top minor league parks in the country. Seattleās PCL entry won league titles in 1924, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1951, 1955, and 1966.
